其他需注意的：

◆There be句型中be的单复数取决于其后的第一个名词的数
There is a book and two pens on the desk.桌上有一本书和两支钢笔。
There are two pens and a book on the desk.桌上有两支钢笔和一本书。

◆each放在并列主语后，修饰复数概念的主语时，谓语动词用复数形式。
The boy and the girl each have their own toys.男孩和女孩各有自己的玩具。

◆a number of和the number of短语作主语的情况
a number of意义为“许多，大量”，后接可数名词的复数或代词作主语，谓语动词用复数形式；而the number of意义为“……数目、……号码”，作主语时，谓语动词用单数形式。

◆加减乘除等数学运算的谓语动词通常用单数形式
2 times 3 makes 6. 2乘3等于6。

◆在倒装句中，谓语的数与其后第一个主语保持一致
Here is a letter and a book for you.这是给你的一封信和一本书。
Between the houses stands a tower.房子之间耸立着一座塔。
