时间状语从句
表示主句动作发生的时间状态，引导词包括when/while/as, since, till/until, after/before, as soon as, by the time等，从句通常用一般现在时表示将来，用现在完成时表示将来完成

地点状语从句
表示地点，引导词包括where, wherever, anywhere, everywhere等


原因状语从句
表示原因，引导词有 because, since, now that, as等等

条件状语从句
表示假设，引导词有 if, unless, once, as/so long as, on condition that等， if引导的条件句有真实条件句和非真实条件句两种，后者参照虚拟语气的用法

目的状语从句
表示目的，引导词有 so that, in order that, in case, lest, for fear that等等，从句中的谓语动词常用may, might, can, could, should等情态动词


结果状语从句
表示结果，通常由so/such…  that, so that等引导

比较状语从句
比较状语从句由than, as…  as… , not so/as…  as，“the＋比较级， the＋比较级”引导

方式状语从句
引导方式状语从句的连词有as, as if, as though等。在as if 或as though引导的状语从句中多用过去时表示虚拟语气

让步状语从句
通常由though, although, even if/though, as, while, whether…  or, whatever/whoever/whichever, no matter what/who/which等引导
